Halo CE Anniversary, some clarification on multiplayer

During an interview held at the fair in San Diego, Frank O 'Connor spoke about the multiplayer of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, the remake of' loved the first Halo came out ten years ago on the first Xbox, justifying the decision to use the multiplayer Reach Halo multiplayer segment instead of the original game, which was so successful in his time in the LAN party environment, as Xbox Live does not yet exist.

"We decided to use the engine for Halo: Reach for the sector multiplayer because it would have been a lot of work to allow the original engine to run on Xbox Live. We have also decided to go this route to avoid fragmenting the user base. You'll still all on one disc, you can play these 7 new maps directly from the disk of Anniversary. "

Also with respect to the long-awaited update for Halo: Reach new features that should make very significant, it seems that will arrive in November to support Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and new game modes that it will introduce.

We can therefore confirm that the maps will be in the game disc, not through code, and the matchmaking will be bootable without having to own and put Halo: Reach, having access to those only 7 maps.
