Yu Suzuki: "Probably I'll leave it up SEGA Shenmue 3"

Yu Suzuki has been honored with a Pioneer Award at the GDC 2011, where he also held a press conference today during which he again spoke of Shenmue 3. The crowd remained hushed when the legendary game designer said: "Maybe SEGA will let me do. It 's just a matter of budget." Suzuki went on to say: "Obviously I want to do it. 200 people (those in the room) will buy it for sure, but funds are a problem."

Suzuki then spoke of the development cost of the original Shenmue, explaining that the game does not cost $ 70 million but 47 million: "It 's only cost $ 47 million, well, maybe I should not say" only. "We've spent in the development and marketing ... in fact as we have spent? "

In December, Suzuki said that "the concept for Shenmue 3 already exists" and the fact that the game designers continue to show some confidence on the project can only hope for us.

We just have to wait, hoping maybe in the presence of Yu Suzuki already at 'E3 2011, after a decade, could be the scene of a legendary ad.
