The lead designer of Dragon Age II Mike Laidlaw said in an interview that the world and the choices made in the first chapter of the saga will be imported to the new episode. Dragon Age is a very complex world, a world profoundly influenced by the choices of player, so it is important to include every little change in the sequel the player has created in the first episode, this is what developers think of the game.

Laidlaw also said that the story of Morrigan, the Witch Hunt Witch protagonist of the DLC released in September, will continue in Dragon Age II, not to miss any anticipation. Finally, the designer said that the region will return in this sequel to Fade as focal point for some crucial moments in history.
