Samson shows himself in a new trailer and arrives on XBOX on September 21

The independent team Liquid Swords, founded by the creator of Saints Row, has announced the release date on consoles Samson, which after a rather turbulent PC debut (currently with an average of 5 on Metacritic) is now trying to rebuild a reputation. And it will also arrive very soon: September 21st, a date announced together with a movie dedicated to the console version of the game.

For those who have not followed the story, Samson takes us through the streets of Tyndalston, a metropolis made of crime, muscle cars and fistfights, and mixes driving and hand-to-hand combat with a spirit that someone has compared to a beat 'em up of yesteryear, direct and without frills. In the months leading up to the launch, the premises had generated a lot of expectations, thanks to a system that winked at both Driver and Mad Max, but at the debut the reception proved to be mixed and the result was far from hopeful.

The plot puts us in the shoes of Samson, back in the city that forged him to the sound of harshness and forced him to deal with a debt that he cannot pay: those who claim it have got their hands on his sister to force him to act, and time is running out. The only way out is to pass over anyone who gets in the way, in a progression where every clash is close and every escape must be earned on the field.

The criticism received by the game on PC was related to the low level of polish and the numerous bugs present, but he promised substantial improvements now announced the arrival of the title on consoles, declaring that he rolled up his sleeves to deliver us a game that lives up to expectations. The founder of Liquid Swords himself, Christofer Sundberg, reassured the public on social channels, explaining that the console versions are progressing "really well".

If the promises are kept, therefore, on our consoles we could find a game in very different conditions than those of the original launch. While waiting to find out, we now leave you to the new trailer: enjoy!
