Konami today announced Rhapsody in Scarlet, a new action-adventure that will take us to a New York of the Twenties full of magic, where fights built on combos, magic and mystical creatures are intertwined with the sounds of the Jazz Age.

In the game we will play the role of Ellie Myers, a young sorceress and aspiring jazz singer who has arrived in the city to pursue her dream. Behind the glittering signs of the metropolis, however, a hidden conflict takes place between the practitioners of magic: Ellie will end up entangled in a conspiracy involving a mysterious mafia organization and will face forces capable of threatening not only New York, but the whole world.

Along the way she will meet Ilya Jones, a very talented sorceress affiliated with the prestigious organization of the Seekers. The repeated clashes with the criminal association will drag the two into an increasingly greater danger, strengthening their bond until a decisive battle that threatens to upset the balance of the world. To give voice to the protagonists are respectively Cherami Leigh for Ellie and Hannah Grace for Ilya.

The combat system is born from the union between the magic of the protagonist and the abilities of the mystical creatures that accompany her. We will be able to chain melee attacks, ranged strikes and powerful area abilities, alternating one creature with another to take advantage of its peculiarities and adapt the strategy as the fight evolves. The result is a fast and fluid action, which rewards creativity, timing and the ability to dominate the battlefield, allowing us to compose offensive sequences with an impeccable style with which to overwhelm even entire groups of enemies.

Great care has also been paid to the reconstruction of the era: architecture, cars, fashion and nightlife give back in detail the culture and atmosphere of New York in the Roaring Twenties, while a jazz-inspired soundtrack will accompany us throughout the adventure, capturing the energy, ambition and enthusiasm that defined that period. In this regard, a special video dedicated to the game's musical theme has also been released, "Cool/Hot", a swing-sounding song performed by SOIL & "PIMP" SESSIONS together with singer-songwriter Emi Meyer.
