Capcom reveals in video Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, arrives in 2027

Capcom has unveiled with a first trailer Ascendance, an expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds that will transport us on an unprecedented adventure in the clouds. Scheduled for 2027, this rich update will introduce a new storyline set in a floating context, never-before-seen creatures, an evolved combat system and the inevitable Master difficulty level to test the most experienced hunters.

As for the gameplay, the main novelty lies in the introduction of the Boost Bracer, a special equipment that will unlock new offensive and mobility options for us. Once activated, this device will temporarily grant us access to advanced attacks, new combinations and evasive maneuvers, allowing us to face the most complex fights with greater versatility. During our expeditions between the islands suspended in the sky we will be able to rely on explosive abilities designed to evolve the hunting action, waiting to discover the details dedicated to the individual weapons and the additional game mechanics that will be revealed later.

The exploration of these new lands will lead us to face threats never seen before. Among the creatures revealed stands out the Araketa, a flying predator that hunts in packs and whizzes at very high speed using the air currents generated by its wings, coordinating thanks to the acoustic signals emitted by the pack leaders. We will also meet Gundoraja, an imposing Elder Dragon with a serpentine shape capable of bending storms to its will. These novelties will be accompanied by the return of other historic Elder Dragons who will invade the territories, ready to put our preparation to the test.

The narrative component will resume the events directly from the conclusion of the main story of Monster Hunter Wilds. Following the sudden attack of the colossal Elder Dragon Lao-Shan Lung, the Expedition Team of the Forbidden Lands will be pushed to build Madoi's Stronghold to defend themselves from his eventual return. Just as we build the fortress, the thinning of the fog over the skies of Wyveria will reveal the Sky Nest, a floating region characterized by ancient ruins and a completely unknown endemic fauna. In the years following the clash with Arkveld we will also find familiar faces grown and changed: the young Keeper Nata will join us together with the faithful Wudwud Bangard, accompanying us in the investigation of the strange anomalies and fearsome Guardian Monsters that populate the skies.

We leave you to the trailer, enjoy!
