PUBG DED.NET: Krafton announces a PvP shooter with a roguelite soul
The stage is Cascadia, a vast wilderness of the American Pacific Northwest, populated by eccentric towns, labyrinthine forests and secrets that are anything but harmless. All set in 1996, at a turning point in American culture: internet revolution, darknet, reality television, unfiltered violence, horrors and mysteries, accompanied by a soundtrack designed to represent that generation.
After choosing our character, we will enter a bloody reality show, where death is not the end but only the beginning of the journey. Each game will push our alter ego to the limit, leading him to surrender or victory: in both cases, however, we will see him on the field for another round. On this is grafted a roguelite progression that will allow us to accumulate advantages along runs distributed over several matches, going beyond the classic gunplay for its own sake and giving us the opportunity to grow our characters through subsequent sessions.
Keeping us on our toes will be the constantly changing game conditions, which will reward the ability to adapt and punish those who rely on the same strategy for too long. How far will we be willing to go to gain more power? Will we be ready to trade meat and security in order to have the strength necessary to survive? Finally, Krafton emphasizes the console-first approach, with an experience built and optimized around these platforms.
No launch window has been communicated. We now leave you to the announcement trailer.
