New Zealand studio PikPok announced today that, after a fan-favorite early access period on PC, the side-scrolling survival game Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days will reach version 1.0 and arrive on XBOX in March 2027.

The announcement is accompanied by a trailer that gives us a close look at the expanded game systems and the desperate fight for survival that awaits us. Inside Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days we will be transported to a ruthless and ruined Texas of the 80s, where we will have to lead a fragile group of people. By exploring environments to recover increasingly scarce resources, we will be called upon to build and manage our shelters in the best possible way, while facing very difficult moral decisions. In fact, every single choice of ours will have heavy consequences: to hope to escape from the city, it will not be enough for us to simply hide and avoid the lethal hordes of infected, but above all we will have to keep intact the hope and mutual trust between our companions.
