Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis shows us the fights and the progression system
The guys at Crystal Dynamics, supported by the Flying Wild Hog team, have worked to evolve the classic mechanics by adapting them to modern audiences, while trying to celebrate every single historical aspect of Lara Croft. During the adventure we will be able to wield different weapons, including the inevitable and iconic double pistols, which will allow us to adopt different styles of play and approaches to face and counterattack enemies. To enrich the formula intervenes an unprecedented crafting system and a deep skill tree, shown for the very first time on this occasion.
To reveal the most interesting news on the gameplay, the Game Director Raul Siqueira intervened directly, illustrating the functioning of the new Focus system. During the fights, taking blows, inflicting damage or simply successfully dodging attacks, we will fill a special meter. Once loaded, we will be able to activate it via the analog sticks to slow down the time around us: this will give us a huge tactical advantage and will allow us to perform spectacular acrobatic movements, a real celebration of the famous moves we made in the very first chapter of the 90s.
We leave you to the footage, reminding you that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is expected for February 12, 2027.
