Mortal Shell II is shown in the launch trailer, available today in early access
The opening of Early Access follows a hugely successful beta phase, which has seen well over a million downloads from the community. To celebrate the event, the launch trailer has been released, which you can view below.
In development for over four years, Mortal Shell II is proposed as a completely standalone sequel, so we won't need to have played the previous chapter to understand its story or enjoy the experience. During this single-player adventure we will find ourselves exploring an interconnected and hand-crafted open world, deliberately compact and designed to respect our time, which hides over sixty dungeons inside. Wandering the winding paths of the map, guarded by desperate and fanatical enemies, we will be rewarded with new narrative fragments, power-ups, curiosities and weapons as powerful as they are bizarre.
The brutal combat system will require us the utmost attention to survive the high-intensity clashes. This time we will be completely free from the classic constraints of stamina, a factor that will allow us to take advantage of new tactics to break the posture of opponents and lethal critical hits, both in melee and ranged attacks. Just like in the previous game, during the journey we will be able to find the inactive bodies of ancient forgotten warriors: by awakening and possessing these special shells, both new and returning from the past, we will unlock innate abilities and unique powers. In this way, we will be able to constantly evolve our fighting style and reveal the dark secrets related to their lost memories.
We leave you to watch the launch trailer: enjoy!
