On the occasion of D23 2026, the special event dedicated to Disney fans, SQUARE ENIX and Disney & Pixar Games have shown a new and extended trailer for the highly anticipated action-RPG Kingdom Hearts IV, revealing that the game will also offer us the world of the Pixar film Coco and that it will make its debut at the end of 2027.

During the adventure we will follow the events of the protagonist Sora and his historical companions through the mysterious city of Quadratum, where the dark creatures known as Heartless are wreaking havoc. We will once again travel through various worlds inspired by Disney and Pixar masterpieces, including the new setting based on the film Coco, meeting new characters and awakening new powers. An interesting novelty also concerns the exploration and investigation phases: we will in fact be able to play as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy to look for valuable clues and find out where Sora is.

The show also revealed that an original animated series for Disney+ is currently in development, made in collaboration with Tetsuya Nomura and the creative team of SQUARE ENIX.
