Daybreak Game Company and Cold Iron Studios have announced the release date of Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, the sequel to the third-person co-op shooter set in the Alien universe. The title will make its debut on August 25th, and the availability for the launch of several digital editions and additional content dedicated to fans of the saga has already been confirmed.

In this new chapter we will find ourselves in the shoes of Colonial Marines sent to the most hostile corners of the galaxy for a dramatic fight for survival. More than just a rescue mission, we'll have to coordinate in teams of up to four players to fend off the hordes of Xenomorphs ready to attack us and ambush us in the shadows. Compared to the past, we will be able to take advantage of even more in-depth unique abilities for each class, improved team mechanics and the new fully customizable Specialist class, facing enemies with refined artificial intelligence.

As for the available editions, the game will arrive in the Standard version from 49,99 Euros and in the richer 40th Anniversary Premium Edition at the price of 69,99 Euros. By choosing the latter version we will have access to the "Ripley's Hive Exterminator Pack", which will allow us to customize our Marines with the iconic Ellen Ripley costume from the ending of the 1986 film Aliens, as well as giving us the opportunity to wield his Pulse Rifle modified with a flamethrower accessory. The edition also includes the "Herk Mondo's Pest Pack", inspired by the extravagant comic book character, containing a special outfit, an imposing modified pulse rifle and a series of stickers to distinguish our character on the battlefield. All this additional content will also be available for purchase separately through a 19.99 Euro upgrade package.

Finally, from the day of launch we will be able to expand our experience thanks to the "Rain's Jackson's Star Pack", available for all editions at the price of 9.99 Euros. This pack will introduce content from the film Alien: Romulus, allowing us to don the outfit of the protagonist Rain Carradine and take up her special rifle equipped with an underbarrel cryogenic weapon, perfect for freezing and shattering enemies on assault.
