The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past will be at Opening Night Live, demo present at gamescom

CD PROJEKT RED has confirmed its presence at gamescom 2026 at the end of August, bringing with it new information regarding the long-awaited expansion The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Songs of the Past. The news of this expansion will be revealed in preview during gamescom Opening Night Live, the event hosted by Geoff Keighley that has been a fundamental date in the gaming calendar for the presentation of exclusive trailers and important announcements for years.

But that's not all: the public of the Cologne fair will have the opportunity to participate in a guided presentation of the new chapter directly at the studio's booth, while the press will be able to participate in private demonstrations with the developers; in the days of the fair - or the following ones - we should therefore have more information about this awaited expansion, coming 12 years after the launch of the game.

Songs of the Past will once again take on the role of Geralt of Rivia, adding an unreleased chapter to a work that, since its launch in 2015, has exceeded 65 million copies sold and won over 250 Game of the Year awards and 1,000 industry awards. We will have to wait until 2027 for the official launch, but the opportunity to observe the expansion up close during the fair represents an unmissable opportunity to preview what awaits us. We will update you on all the news!
