Bandai Namco has released a new gameplay footage of Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 3 that allows us to closely observe the main mechanics that will animate our adventures, following us on a mission undertaken by a new member of the Great Saiya Squad. The video focuses on combat systems and introduces the concept of "bonding", which is confirmed as the real main theme of the entire gameplay.

Thanks to this dynamic, we will be able to forge deep connections with the legendary heroes who defended the Earth, shaping our fighter in a completely unique way. We will have the freedom to equip iconic attacks, skills and specific fighting styles to reflect our favorite characters from the Dragon Ball universe. This bond translates into direct support on the battlefield: through the Soul Assist system, we will be able to summon the souls of these heroes of the past to support us and unleash their distinctive techniques. The maximum expression of this synergy is represented by the Soul Change, an ability that will allow us to temporarily embody a legendary warrior to dominate his absolute strength.

The title will allow us to form teams of up to four elements, ready to face a wide variety of tasks ranging from intense head-to-head duels to chaotic large-scale clashes against multiple opponents. The combat system will require a strategic use of our skills: we will have to exploit every single vulnerability of the enemies to consume their Ki and inflict devastating critical hits. To further expand our arsenal, as an alternative to summons we can focus on awakening our own potential, unlocking unique transformations related to the chosen race, such as the iconic Super Saiyan form.
