SEGA also took advantage of the Microsoft stage tonight, announcing Crazy Taxi: World Tour, the new episode of the famous driving series. The game is coming in 2027 and will take us to reckless driving through the streets of iconic cities. The announcement trailer, accompanied by The Offspring's legendary track "All I Want," shows protagonist Axel speeding through before being embroiled in a new global adventure alongside a mysterious pilot.

Under the direction of Kenji Kanno, original creator of the franchise, the new chapter will take us on an adventure without borders. In the World Tour campaign mode we will have to take on the role of Axel to chase a gang of masked criminals responsible for the theft of his beloved taxi, facing increasingly extreme missions and challenges without ever taking our foot off the accelerator.

The confirmed features promise to please both veterans and newcomers. We'll have to navigate different driving surfaces in five unique cities, unlock a wide range of vehicles and customization options to create the perfect vehicle, and challenge friends and opponents from all over the world thanks to the new online multiplayer mode. For purists, there will be the classic mode, designed to relive the thrill of the Arcade of the original titles.
