During the XBOX Games Showcase 2026, Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo presented Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember with an official reveal trailer that confirms the dark fantasy setting inspired by the Three Kingdoms, setting the release date at the beginning of 2027 with arrival in the Game Pass at launch.

The setting of Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember will take us back to the late Han Dynasty period, an era dominated by the struggle for supremacy among warlords and the rise of the heroes of the Three Kingdoms. We will take on the role of a nameless legend, risen from the ashes of conflicts just like a phoenix. To survive and get the better of fearsome enemies and horrible creatures, we will have to master Chinese martial arts further evolved, joining forces with legendary historical characters to clear the battlefields of demons and monsters.

The sequel has the ambitious goal of surpassing the milestones of its predecessor, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, which has been able to conquer over five million fans globally. The development of Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is currently in full swing and is scheduled for release in early 2027. Great news for subscribers: the title will be available on XBOX Game Pass from day one.

While waiting to be able to get our hands on the new chapter, we can already take up arms again thanks to an excellent initiative by the developer. To celebrate the reveal, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has been reintegrated into the XBOX Game Pass catalog, an ideal opportunity to start or rediscover the adventure.
