Here is the first big surprise of the XBOX Games Showcase: Senua, the new Hellblade chapter by Ninja Theory. The game will arrive in 2027 aims to expand the Hellblade universe by combining the narrative depth that has characterized the series with a richer and more articulated gameplay, designed to respond to fan requests.

Set after the events of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and Hellblade II, Senua will take us to a fragmented vision of purgatory, where as the Celtic warrior we will have to fight to reach the afterlife and reunite with those we have loved and lost. The plot, still shrouded in mystery, promises to make us confront both internal and external threats, while we will have to master tactical combat to get the better of nightmarish creatures and explore a fantasy world shaped by myth and memory.

The development of Senua started from the most appreciated elements of the previous chapters - the personal story, the approach to psychosis and the high production quality - and then integrated what the community requested: a more structured action-adventure gameplay, greater depth in the combat system, and more freedom and agency in our choices. The goal is to create an experience capable of thrilling both veterans of the series and those approaching this universe for the first time, offering a premium adventure driven by the narrative, with visceral clashes, vivid worlds and fantastic enemies, boss fights included.
