Lords of the Fallen II shows itself in a new trailer, arrives in the autumn period

During the Summer Game Fest, CI Games showed off a new and intense trailer for Lords of the Fallen II, titled The Battle for Thorngar. The footage not only delved into the game mechanics and dark fantasy atmospheres, but also made the launch window official: the long-awaited soulslike action RPG will debut this fall.

The goal of the developers is to offer a much bolder and bloodier evolution of the franchise, based on community feedback and the more than seventy patches distributed after the release of the 2023 chapter. In Lords of the Fallen II we will have to adapt to a much improved combat system, designed to be faster, more responsive and satisfying. The gameplay will embrace an even more aggressive style, allowing us to carry out brutal executions, visceral dismemberments and to take advantage of new skills to survive the threats that await us.

The trailer also previewed Ysiguen, a vast biome inspired by Asian mythologies and featuring towering pagodas corrupted by demonic forces. In these scenarios we will have to face courtesans with horned features and fearsome enemy factions specific to each area, until we clash with dynamic bosses such as Lingao, a majestic dragon pervaded by electricity. To face the Lords of Darkness and overcome their ranks, we will have a renewed arsenal that includes the highly requested katanas, which will join the already confirmed scythes.

To support us in our crusade against evil we will find an expanded roster of allied non-player characters, ready to assist us in a much richer and more varied game world. In addition to a kingdom of the Umbral made decidedly more immersive, the title will guarantee from day one a cooperative experience with shared progression, allowing us to explore every dark nook and cranny of this new and lethal adventure in company.

Here is the new trailer and some new images.
