Square Enix announces Final Fantasy VII Revelation, concluding the trilogy
The story will see us alongside Cloud Strife and his companions in a desperate race against time to save the planet. With the loss of a dear ally and Sephiroth getting closer to rising to the rank of god, the group will have to take to the skies aboard the iconic Highwind airship to prevent Meteor's fall. The exploration of the game world promises to be the freest and most dynamic ever seen in the saga: we will be able to parachute anywhere on the map, experiencing fluid transitions between flight and land, while the planet will be upset by the huge Weapons and battles on several fronts that will force us to divide our forces and make choices capable of altering the destinies of the various heroes.
On the gameplay front, the hybrid battle system between real-time action and strategy has been further expanded. One of the most anticipated novelties is the introduction of the STYLE system, which will allow us to equip unique outfits to take on the role of classic classes of the saga, such as the black mage or the warrior, guaranteeing new movesets and powerful abilities. This will give us the opportunity to customize the approach to the clashes even more thoroughly, adapting to the situations and enemies we will face.
Adding to the experience will be new locations recreated with an impressive level of detail, including the sun-drenched region of Mideel, the warrior nation of Wutai, and the icy expanses of the Northern Lands. In these scenarios we will finally be able to control characters that have always been loved by fans on the field: the skilled gunslinger Vincent Valentine, capable of unleashing bursts of bullets and ferocious bestial transformations, and the irascible Cid Highwind, who will use his spear to close distances or inflict devastating area damage.
The development team expressed all its excitement for this milestone, emphasizing how the title represents the culmination of more than ten years of work and thirty years of history of the franchise. Yoshinori Kitase, Naoki Hamaguchi and Tetsuya Nomura have agreed to define the work as the most satisfying and complete form of their original vision, combining the hearts of the developers with that of those who will try their hand at the adventure to write the last page of a true legend.
To prepare for the grand finale, we will be able to recover the previous chapters, FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE and FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH, already available for our consoles and also collected in a convenient Twin Pack. Both titles now offer convenient boost settings, such as infinite HP and MP or the always full ATB bar, ideal for shaping the experience to our liking. In addition, loading the saves of the two predecessors will give us useful bonuses for the new chapter, including the Chocomoguri and Phoenix invocation subjects.
The studio has released an announcement trailer and an extended gameplay of the game: here they are!
