After the revelation a few days ago, Maverick Games has now released a new trailer for their racing game CLUTCH, which while not showing us the gameplay, shows us the history of the game and the challenges we will have to face, also revealing that the title is expected for spring 2027.

The stage for CLUTCH is the striking French Riviera, with an open world that reproduces the glamorous French Mediterranean coast. We'll have to speed along breathtaking coastal roads, tackle mountain switchbacks and navigate bustling city streets, all thanks to a proprietary physics engine and a vehicle customization system that rewards both style and pure performance. Each road will offer new opportunities for rivalries, chases and escapes in a world where speed and style collide, moving from professional racing to the underground sandbox of races and adrenaline-pumping chases.

At the heart of the experience is a cinematic narrative that will put us behind the wheel of Theo Martial, played by Tosin Cole, a heroic driver who lives a double life: elite races by day and underground races by night. At his side is his sister Cass Martial, entrusted to Little Simz, with whom we will have to shed light on a shadow that glides over the racing scene of the Riviera. The story, signed by Jamie Brittain, kicks off during the Riviera 1000 (R1K), the most prestigious tournament in motorsport, where a terrible accident in the last phase of the race upsets the plans of Theo, his adoptive father Ludo (Gregory Montel) and Cass.

The reaction of the R1K's keeper, George McBride (Peter Serafinowicz), who announces the introduction of a new technology to avoid future tragedies, splits the racing world and pushes Theo towards the Midnight Collective, a subculture of clandestine racing that animates the nights of the French Riviera. When the difficulties accumulate, we will have to seek the help of fixer Emery Whitman, played by Jane Perry, to uncover the dark side of the tournament and unmask who is really pulling the strings. Rounding out the cast are Kieron Moore and other familiar faces who will bring this high-speed adventure to life.

In CLUTCH we will have to compete for position, reputation and rewards, navigating changing alliances, escalating chases and rival crews in a lively and dynamic action-driving world. Each high-speed escape will be an explosion of blockbuster action and unscripted mayhem, while deep vehicle customization will allow us to create unique cars, defined as much by identity and style as by performance.
