If you thought your adventures in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt were over, here's a nice surprise for you: CD Projekt RED today announced Songs of the Past, the game's third expansion coming in 2027 and developed in collaboration with the Fool's Theory studio, made up of several CDPR veterans itself.

For now, no other details have been released about the DLC, except that "it will put us back in Geralt's shoes in a new adventure". Given the title (Songs of the Past), it is likely that the expansion will take us into the protagonist's past to make us experience adventures never told so far. And it could perhaps create narrative ties with The Witcher 4, whose release date has not yet been defined.

The studio has announced that more information about the expansion will be released this summer, probably at one of the planned shows (Summer Game Fest, or perhaps, at the Xbox Showcase?). Stay tuned!
