Rumor: Microsoft thinks of a modular and customizable offer for Game Pass
This initiative would aim to make the service much more flexible than in the past, giving us the possibility to select which modules to include or exclude from our package, with relative cost savings. For example, we will have the opportunity to give up the integration of Xbox Cloud Gaming or to remove the benefits related to Fortnite to get a reduction in the monthly price. This way, we can only pay for the features we actually use, optimizing spending and eliminating unnecessary services.
The rumor comes at a time of significant changes for the platform. Just recently we have seen an immediate reduction in subscription prices, a move that has however been accompanied by an important change in the management of weight releases: the new chapters of Call of Duty, in fact, will no longer be released at launch directly in the service's catalog. This new strategy suggests a clear desire to further differentiate the offer.
Although these are still long-term plans, if these rumors were confirmed, the goal would be clear: to transform the service into a tailor-made experience for each user. We just have to wait for the next few months to find out if these customization options will become reality, allowing us to save money with a tailor-made subscription.
