Rumor: Halo Campaign Evolved arrives at the end of July?

It may not be long before the long-awaited return of Master Chief: according to some rumors of the last few hours, Halo: Campaign Evolved could in fact land on our consoles on July 28, with an early access expected for the 23rd of the month. To suggest it would be two separate leaks which, if confirmed, would see us return to Halo sooner than expected.

The first clue comes from a pre-sales survey run by a Korean retailer, which appeared briefly before being removed: the date of July 28 appeared as the release day. To support this timing there is also the cataloguing of the game by the Korean classification body, a step that usually anticipates the launch by a few months. A few days later, the dataminer grunt.api also published an encoded message accompanied by a GIF of a meteor, the project's codename: once deciphered, the text would indicate early access to the game starting July 23, reserved for a special edition, with the full release scheduled for the 28th.

Recall that Halo: Campaign Evolved is a complete remake of the legendary 2001 shooter, developed on Unreal Engine 5 but built "in layers" on original code and systems. Announced last October, the title will take us back to the origins of the saga with unprecedented visual and technical fidelity, and we will have to wait for the Xbox Games Showcase in June to have official confirmations on date, price and details on the editions.

On the price front, speculation indicates a range between 39,99 and 49,99 Euros for the basic edition, while a possible Deluxe Edition with early access could be between 59,99 and 69,99 Euros. In recent weeks, news has also emerged on the content: the remake should include skins and customization options for Master Chief's armor and weapons, absent in both the original and the 2011 remake, while the inclusion of a microtransaction store has been firmly excluded.

We therefore await official news to find out if these rumors will be confirmed!
