Bungie has finally broken its silence on the launch of Marathon, officially announcing that the game will arrive on March 5. The announcement is accompanied by the opening of pre-orders and a new trailer that gives us a taste of the pitfalls that await us on the surface of the planet Tau Ceti IV.

In the new title from the creators of Halo and Destiny, we will take on the role of a bio-cybernetic Runner with the aim of exploring the lost colony of Tau Ceti IV in search of riches and fame. It won't be an easy task: we'll have to survive facing hostile security forces, compete against other rival Runners, and withstand the planet's inhospitable environmental conditions. The development team has confirmed that the title will fully support both cross-play and cross-progression between supported platforms.

At the same time as the announcement, pre-orders were opened, revealing the different editions available at launch. Those who pre-order the Standard Edition will receive access to all game updates planned throughout the year (such as maps and events), as well as several cosmetic bonuses: the "Zero Step 004 CE" sidearm skin, a charm and a weapon sticker. Additionally, for fans of the other major Bungie franchise, linking your account will unlock themed items in Destiny 2, including an Exotic Ghost Shell, a ship, and a Sparrow.

For those looking for additional content, the Deluxe Edition will include all the content of the standard plus a voucher for the Premium Rewards Pass, 200 SILK tokens to unlock rewards, and the "Midnight Decay" cosmetic set, which includes skins for the shotgun, assault rifle, and several variants for the Runner's casing.

Collectors will be able to focus on the Collector's Edition, which in addition to the digital content of the Deluxe offers a 1/6 scale statue of the "Thief Runner" equipped with LED lights, a miniature of the WEAVEworm, an embroidered patch, art postcards and a premium hexagonal box with lenticular poster.

Finally, Bungie has confirmed that the game will enjoy full dubbing in Italian, so as to allow all players of the boot to enjoy it to the fullest.
