Rumor: Halo Studios prepares Halo 2 and 3 remakes

It seems that, after Halo: Campaign Evolved, Microsoft is willing to offer us the other episodes of the Master Chief saga in a modern way. This is what emerges from a rumor today: according to a well-known leaker, Halo 2 and Halo 3 will receive the remake treatment after the arrival of Halo: Campaign Evolved.

In a social media post, leaker 'leaks_infinite' claimed that a source has informed him that both games are being remade and that both projects will receive an acceleration.

The news comes after the recent announcement of Halo: Campaign Evolved, which also marks the arrival of the series on PlayStation, something that many saw as the end of the console war. And it is probably the Sony console that is the reason for these remakes: it is very likely that, in view of a next episode of the saga, Microsoft wants to make sure that PlayStation users have all (or at least the most important) previous chapters available so that they can retrace all the lore of the series.

The leaker also added that, as with Halo: Campaign Evolved, the Halo 2 and Halo 3 remakes will also not include multiplayer, explaining that the next Halo game to include multiplayer will be Halo 7, and that the campaign and multiplayer will launch separately, as already happened with Halo Infinite.

We just have to wait for official news on the matter, which will probably arrive after the launch of Halo: Campaign Evolved.
