Bandai Namco today announced PAC-MAN World 2 Re-PAC, a feature-enhanced remake of the 2002 3D platformer title, including 2-player co-op, starring the then-hugely popular anthropomorphic version of Pac-Man. The release of the game is set for September 26.

In this adventure we will once again play the iconic yellow sphere on a journey through Pac-Land. We'll have to traverse six unique worlds, ranging from green meadows to icy peaks to an erupting volcano, all to face the classic Ghosts and their leader, Spooky. The gameplay is proposed as a 3D platformer that mixes exploration, action and iconic boss battles.

Being a complete remake, PAC-MAN World 2 Re-PAC introduces several new features compared to the original. The gameplay has been improved, and new collectibles and customization options have been added. The most significant novelty is the introduction, for the first time in the series, of a local cooperative mode for 2 players, which will allow us to face the entire journey in the company of a friend.
