2K today announced NBA 2K26, the new edition of the popular basketball simulator, revealing that it will arrive on September 5 with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder point guard, three-time All-Star, KIA MVP of the 2024-25 season and MVP of the NBA Finals, as the cover athlete of the Standard Edition.

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese, WNBA AT&T All-Star, 2024 All-Rookie Team member and NCAA champion, will be on the cover of the NBA 2K26 WNBA Edition, available only in the U.S. Carmelo Anthony, a member of the Class of 2025 of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, 10-time NBA All-Star, three-time Olympic gold medalist and included in the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team, will instead star in the NBA 2K26 Superstar Edition. For a limited time, Gilgeous-Alexander, Reese, and Anthony will also share the cover art of the NBA 2K26 Leave No Doubt Edition.

These are the contents of the additional editions available in our market:

• The Superstar Edition includes:
  • 100,000 VC
  • MyCAREER content, including 25 upgrades for 6 types of skills, 25x3 Gatorade upgrades, the cover star jersey and a 2XP coin valid for 2 hours
  • MyTEAM content, including the full selection of a Series 1 NBA team, a Triple Threat Park Free Agent pack (containing 3 guaranteed FA cards), 5 Series 1 packs, and another 2XP coin valid for 2 hours.
  • The Superstar Edition will be playable a week before the worldwide launch thanks to early access.
• The Leave No Doubt Edition will only be available for purchase until September 7. This special edition includes everything in the Superstar Edition, plus:
  • Additional 35,000 VC
  • a Season 1 Pro Pass and a Summer Pass (which includes the Pro Passes of Seasons 7-9 scheduled for summer 2026)
  • the Leave No Doubt pack for MyTEAM, which includes a Galaxy Opal card (out December 2025) and an Invincible card (out May 2026) as well as a Puffer Jacket for MyCAREER
  • NBA 2K25 players who pre-order the Leave No Doubt Edition on the same platform will receive a 10% discount
  • The Leave No Doubt Edition will be playable a week before the worldwide launch thanks to early access.
