Platinum Games and Koei Tecmo have released a new trailer for Ninja Gaiden 4 in which the return of the legendary Ryu Hayabusa alongside the new protagonist, the young Yakumo, is confirmed. The action proves to be as frenetic and brutal as ever, with some of Ryu's most famous moves shown in action.

With this new iteration, the hack 'n' slash style of the series promises to reach new heights: the gameplay will reward precision, mastery of chained attacks and the ability to take risks, while Ryu's classic weapons and tools have been updated to be more modern.

The plot will take us to a Tokyo besieged by supernatural miasmas and enemies from another world. Yakumo will have to embrace his destiny and fight alongside Ryu to break the curse that is consuming the city.
