After many rumors related to a remaster trilogy, Microsoft today announced Gears of War: Reloaded, a remastered edition of the first mythical GoW, fully optimized for modern platforms. Oh yes, because after some titles released first on Xbox and PC and then on PS5, as expected Microsoft has now moved on to the simultaneous release on Xbox and PS5 (as well as on Game Pass, of course), just with what in the past was part of the famous "three pillars" of the Xbox brand.

The game will be released on August 26 and will include all original content, including co-op and multiplayer, with the following technical improvements:

• 4K resolution
• 60 FPS in the countryside
• 120 FPS in Multiplayer
• HDR support
• Dolby Vision and 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos
• 3D Spatial Audio 7.1.4
• Variable refresh rate (VRR)
• 4K assets and remastered textures
• Improved visual effects in post-processing
• Improved shadows and reflections
• Super resolution with improved anti-aliasing
• No loading screens during the campaign
