ACE Team, a studio already known for Clash: Artifacts of Chaos and Zeno Clash titles, today announced The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu, a first-person horror title designed for co-op play between up to four players.

Inspired by Lovecraft's short story The Mound, the game puts us in the shoes of a team of conquistadors on an expedition to discover a legendary underground city that is said to contain priceless treasures. In the depths of an eerie and oppressive jungle, we will have to explore and survive monstrous and otherworldly entities that distort our senses and threaten our sanity. Only teamwork will allow us to survive.

• An Expedition into the Unknown - Join a team of explorers in search of treasure. Aboard your galleon, prepare for missions by selecting weapons and equipment, and then set off on adventures in a cursed jungle. As you progress, the danger you will face will become greater and greater, until you arrive at the gates of the legendary underworld where there are unimaginable riches waiting for you.
• Lovecraftian horror and altered reality - The Mound is inspired by the stories of H.P. Lovecraft, with its oppressive and unpredictable atmospheres. Here, supernatural forces don't just hunt you down, they alter your perception of any situation, displacing you. In the face of diabolical creatures and inexplicable phenomena, the thin red line that separates reality from illusion becomes increasingly blurred, sowing doubt and paranoia within the group.
• Collaboration is put to the test - In The Mound, survival depends on communication and the help you can give each other. But when madness creeps in between people, the hallucinations become more real. Can you still trust your instincts and do you really still have time to assess the situation? One wrong decision, or one missed shot, and the whole mission could turn into a disaster
