Rumor: The Outer Worlds, coming with a version optimized for new consoles

Obsidian and 2K's great sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds has so far not been graced by the release of optimization for next-gen consoles, but it looks like this is soon set to change. The Taiwanese rating body has in fact just surveyed a new version of the game entitled "The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition", with the new consoles and the PC as the only target platforms.

It will therefore most likely be a "complete" re-edition of the game that includes the two expansions Danger on Gorgon and Assassination on Eridanus, as well as optimization for the new consoles. It is also equally likely, as often happens and as we hope, that the optimization will arrive in free form for the owners of the original game, so as to allow them to enjoy the title on their Xbox Series X|S without additional expenses.

To know if it will really be so we will have to wait for the official announcement, which we expect will not take long to arrive.
