Frogwares announces Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened

The Ukrainian studio Frogwares announced today the start of development of Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, a complete remake of the homonymous title released in 2006, in which we will live the first case of the young Sherlock after his arrival in London, as well as his first collaboration with the new assistant John Watson.

What seems like a simple case of a missing person will quickly turn into a web of conspiracies by a cult that worships the god Cthulhu and is trying to fulfill an ancient prophecy. The game will take the two detectives through four locations: Victorian London, a Swiss psychiatric ward, the bays of New Orleans and the Scottish Highlands, as they try to separate reality from the supernatural and put an end to these dark madmen.

The development of the game will be financed through a kickstarter campaign not yet started: when it starts, the first official trailer will also be released. In the meantime here is a first set of images.
