If you are among the lovers of the console version of Elite Dangerous, we have bad news for you: the developer Frontier Developments has announced the cancellation of any new development of this version of the game, wanting to focus solely on the PC version.

Frontier CEO David Braben cited the difficulty of maintaining and updating two different versions of the game as the main reason for this decision, but we imagine that the underlying problem is that the game did not yield in the console version when it does it instead on PC, making it unprofitable to continue investing in it.

The game will continue to work in its current form, but will not receive new expansions including the long-awaited Odyssey: anyone who is playing it in a serious way therefore has no choice but to move to PC.
