As per the tradition of the series, once Completed The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes players of the title was presented with a teaser trailer the next game in the series, which we discover is called The Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me.

In the movie we see the villain of the game, a serial killer, talking about the pleasure he feels in taking the lives of his victims; we are also shown some of the protagonists of the new title and a horrendous "mechanical corpse" created by the killer himself.
