Dying Light 2 Stay Human sledges to February 4

Bad news for those hoping to spend Christmas jumping between the rooftops and fighting the infected: the guys at Techland announced today that they have postponed the launch date of Dying Light 2 Stay Human by about two months, from next December 7 to February 4, 2022.

Here is the official statement from Techland CEO Pawel Marchewka on the postponement of the game:

Hello everyone

Today we have important news to share with you about the progress of the development of Dying Light 2: Stay Human.

It has always been our company's goal to build transparent and honest communication with our community, fans and players. Every day we strive to grow on this path.

The team is constantly progressing with production and the game is close to the finish line. The game is complete and we are currently testing it. It is by far the largest and most ambitious project we have ever done. Unfortunately, we realized that to bring the game to the level we imagine, we need more time to refine and optimize it.

That's why we decided to move the release date to February 4, 2022.

We're sorry to make you wait a little longer, but we want the game to meet your highest expectations at release and we don't want to compromise on that.

However, you won't have to wait too long to take a deeper look at Dying Light 2: Stay Human. Next month, both print and content creators will be able to get their hands on the PC and console versions of the game during the next series of preview events around the world. They will be able to share their experiences with you inThe City.

In the meantime, we'd like to thank all our fans around the world: without your support and feedback, we would never have gotten this far on this journey.

In addition to our regular updates, we'll be preparing to share some exciting gameplay news later this month.

Stay Safe and Stay Human

Pawel Marchewka
CEO

We remind you that the game will be released on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S .
