WWE 2K Battlegrounds arcade wrestling arrives in September and shows off on video

2K today announced that WWE 2K Battlegrounds,the new arcade and super-deformed wrestling title that this year will fill the void left by the "reflection break" of the WWE 2K series, will arrive on September 18 with a roster of over 70 WWE Superstars at launch and many more that will be released later.

Developed by Saber Interactive, WWE 2K Battlegrounds will offer an experience for both fan fans and casual players, with different game modes:

  • Exhibition: matches that can be played online or locally, up to a maximum of 4 players;
  • Campaign:Join the adventures of 7 aspiring WWE fighters, created exclusively for WWE 2K Battlegrounds, in a campaign that will see them compete for a contract with WWE. Along the way you'll unlock several arenas, inspired by locations such as the Everglades, Military Bootcamp, Mexico, New York and Scotland. You will be guided on this path by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Paul Heyman;
  • King of the Battleground: an online mode where four players leave the ring while four others wait to enter, as long as there is only one left;
  • Online: Tournaments and Online Exhibitions.

The game's fighters will have a wide arsenal of spectacular techniques, special abilities and devastating upgrades in different types of matches such as Steel Cage, Royal Rumble, Fatal 4-Way and more, commented by Mauro Ranallo and Jerry "The King" Lawler. Players can also customize their arenas to give each match a personal touch, as well as take advantage of the "Superstar Creator" to create their own WWE Superstar with different body types and sizes, facial features, clothing, hair and fighting styles.

The roster can be joined by superstars such as Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Asuka, Daniel Bryan, Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton, Andre the Giant Undertaker, Mankind, Shawn Michaels, Yokozuna and Sgt. Slaughter, each with 5 different fighting styles, moves and throws.

We leave you to a new trailer and some images of the game: good viewing!
