EA introduces next-gen versions of FIFA 21 and Madden 21, illustrated the upgrade system

The latest announcement from tonight's EA Play Live live is about the two sports titles coming from the Californian publisher: EA announced that FIFA 21 will arrive on October 9,and took advantage of it to release a video showing next-gen versions of both the football title and Madden 21.

EA also explained how the"Dual Entitlement"upgrade system will Doppio Titolowork, which will allow you to switch to next-gen versions of both games after purchasing those for current consoles. Here are the most important points:

  • All buyers of the two games, both physical and digital, will be able to unlock the next-gen version for free by the next game's release. When FIFA 22 and Madden 22 exit, you will no longer be able to upgrade your previous games.
  • To upgrade, simply buy an Xbox Series X or PS5 and start the game for the current generation: the switch to the next-gen version will be automatic.
  • If you buy games on disk, these will be upgradable to new versions only on disc versions of the new consoles (Sony has already announced a PS5 without a disc player, for Microsoft it is noisy the arrival of a cheap console and no player that will flank Series X).
  • For the disc version of the games, after the upgrade you will still need to always insert the disc in order to play them.

Now we leave you to the new trailer: good viewing!
