The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan reveals multiplayer modes

Supermassive Games' new horror adventure, The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan,is not the kind of game normally associated with multiplayer experiences, but British developers wanted to try it out: Bandai Namco revealed that the title will have two multiplayermodes, one of which is shown to us in a trailer entirely in Italian.

The two modes are designed to play in the company of a friend online, in a kind of co-op in which both players participate in the choices of the story, or to play in 5 players locally, each of whom controls the choices of a character by switching to turn the controller. Here are the details of the two modes:

Shared History Mode

  • Share your story with a friend in an online co-op experience for 2 players.
  • Both players will explore the scenario, making choices and taking actions that will influence the outcome of the story and the fate of the selected characters.
  • Play different scenes from a different perspective than the single player experience, sometimes together and sometimes in completely separate scenes that will reveal new information, places and horrors.
  • The decisions you and your friend make may be the only thing that will keep your characters alive...

Movie Night Mode

  • Play locally in a maximum group of 5 players, alternating between one controller and impersonating your favorite character.
  • Each player will play as one of the five main characters, managing their decisions and choices.
  • Will you make decisions just to save your character? Or will you try to keep them all alive?
  • At the end of the game, your actions and their consequences during the game will be evaluated, with goals and rewards for each player.

Definitely an oral idea and to try among friends. All games in the anthology The Dark Pictures will have these modes, so we hope they are well made and fun!

Now we'll leave you to the trailer that shows us the Shared Story mode: good viewing.
