In RAGE 2 Our supplied arsenal of firearms and explosives will not be our only ally in battle: The game will also see us wearing super-technological armor that will make us available to the powers that we are almost like superheroes.

This is what the developers explain, however, clarifying that we still remain in front of a shooter and that the new powers are designed to integrate and work in harmony with our beloved rifles.

Crash
Rain down destruction from above with crash, a devastating attack on the ground. The efficacy of crash is directly proportional to the height from which you use it: The higher you are, the stronger the crash. Take the momentum with a double jump and you will reduce the enemies to mush.

Devastation
When you absolutely want to get rid of the enemies, hit them with devastation: a lethal kinetic explosion that pulls away the opponents and sometimes even blows their heads.

Whirl
Whirl allows you to pull enemies out of their comfort zone. Target and unleash this ability near a group of enemies to lure them all to a single point, making them vulnerable to a well-launched grenade, rocket, or other area attack.

Barrier
Remove your portable virtual shield: barrier. The barrier allows you to block incoming bullets and kill almost anything that comes in contact with it. A combo of barrier and Whirl performed with the right timing will drag enemies directly towards your killer shield.

Don't forget the power ups
All the skills of the game can be enhanced, so that you become the ultimate hard. Also the shutter ability (an more push that you can activate when you're already shooting) hides aces in the sleeve, such as double shutter speed and temporary invisibility. Only for the abilities there are over 70 power ups, some decrease the recovery time, while others add completely new functions.

Some of Avalanche Studios ' favorite Combat Team upgrades are: The Antigravitational field of the vortex, an exceptional method to control the battlefield and keep enemies in the air, making them easy targets; The gravitational fluctuation, which will allow you to float on the spot and aim right below you and touch of death, the reinforcement of the barrier that transforms the enemies that pass it in meatballs.

Put them all together and...
... You will have the overhead. During the fights, you will fill the overload indicator. When activated, overloading guarantees all your weapons and abilities unique attributes that push them far beyond their limits. Some weapons may be equipped with search ammunition or with the ever-entertaining ability to fiddle with enemies through a burst of bullets. During the overload, the recovery time of the abilities will also be reduced. Combining skills in new ways will fill the overload indicator faster, making the difference between life and death.
