SEGA takes advantage of E3 to show the gameplay of the kart racer Sonic Racing Team , with a trailer that also highlights the different modes of the game. The title combines the best elements of the arcade genre and frenetic competitions with nostalgic characters and settings from the Sonic universe.

Sonic Racing Team will compete alone or against 12 drivers online as Sonic, Shadow, Tails, and other characters in single or multiplayer modes including Grand Prix, Time Trial and Team Adventure. While racing, players can use a variety of team mechanics as a Transfer, Slingshot, Skim Boost and more, to help teammates throughout the competition and secure a place on the podium, having the ability to customize their vehicles to find its own style while running.
