Square Enix CEO declares that the Deus Ex series has not been abandoned

Due to the fact that sales of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided have not met expectations by Square Enix, some time ago circulated a rumor that saw the abandonment of the series by the Japanese Publisher. Today comes the denial by Yosuke Matsuda , CEO of Square Enix .

The manager said during an interview with GamesIndustry.biz : " we never said anything about the suspension of the title, but for some reason the rumor there was ." The fact is that Eidos Montreal, the studio responsible for the series of Adam Jensen , is currently working on other titles which currently constitute a priority compared to a new chapter of Deus Ex. MATSUDA also adds that it is already " discussing and exploring what path to follow for the next installment of the series " and that considers Deus Ex a very important franchise.

Having regard to the statements, the new chapter of Deus Ex won't be maybe next to the exit but these claims cast a light of hope for all fans of the series who feared a termination of the series.
