The American site Polygon received from multiple sources an interesting information: it seems that EA is working on a new Battlefield title set for release this year. The game is under development at Visceral Games ( Dead Space ) with the codename "Havana" and, rather than soldiers or military special forces, we would see committed as Police/SWAT, probably in urban conflicts or operations against crime cartels.

If this is confirmed it would mean switching to annual periodicity for the Battlefield series, with several teams who take turns at the helm of "strands". We can only wait for announcements or denials from EA.
