EA Sports has announced that boxistica Fight Night series, which boasts of five titles from 2004 to 2011, has been suspended in favour of the development of UFC titles. To explain it was Andrew Wilson, head of EA Sports.

Mr. Wilson said: "much of the team previously assigned to Fight Night is working on the UFC, the group is expert in the industry and are focusing very much for this new adventure." Wilson explained that this change is due to the growing popularity of mixed martial arts, then Fight Night is suspended up to date even though Wilson himself has left to guess more than a chance for the return of boxing game, stating that "I still see a future in Fight Night but now every effort is dedicated to UFC".
