Final Fantasy XV: Tabata resigns, cancelled and stand-alone multiplayer DLC coming

A small earthquake has involved tonight Square Enix and its flagship series, Final Fantasy : the Director of development of Final Fantasy XV Hajime Tabata has announced his resignation from the company, motivated by the desire to open a own development studio that will allow it to pursue its next project and "next challenge".

Tabata explains that leaves the series in capable hands, those of his colleagues in the study Luminous Productions that will be more than capable of advancing the series to new destinations, but this sounds more like a phrase of circumstance: in fact in the context of the resignation Tabata, Square Enix also announced the cancellation of all expansions that were still required, except for the Episode, literal expected in March. The Episode Aranea , Episode Lunafreya and Episode Noctis will therefore never sunlight, although Square Enix would want to show us in the future, what could have been, perhaps with the release of movies and artwork that were been produced so far for these DLC.

The Publisher also revealed that the Fund title multiplayer, Comrades , will be re-released in an Edition stand-alone surcharge to arrive on 12 December, which will allow you to play online to those who do not own the game main. At the same time, the DLC for the game that includes Comrades will be disabled and all those who have purchased will get a free stand-alone game.

This news cast a shadow over the future of the Final Fantasy series, but Square Enix seems determined to take full advantage of the capabilities of the firm Luminous Productions : well 33 million dollars have been invested to give opportunity to study to achieve large scale AAA quality games.

We close with a trailer that celebrates two years after the launch of Final Fantasy XV , but be careful to see if you still have to play the title, since it contains spoilers. Good vision!
