Xbox Game DVR: change the managing clips

Surely you know the clip/screen capture capabilities offered by Xbox One device. During the gaming session Xbox Button + X/Y button and you're done: the scene of our interest is captured and later loaded on Live, ready to be admired by our friends.

Another way to share content easily acquired, through Xbox Game DVR, which allows us to independently manage the acquisitions and share them with our social media accounts. Each account, however, has a certain limit , such as dedicated storage space . To troubleshoot this, Microsoft announced some changes regarding the managing clips, which will guarantee an increase available space for recordings on Game DVR.

Larry Hryb of Xbox -best known as Major Nelson-has, in fact, explained in a tweet : '' The existing clips of more than 90 days without views will be deleted, as well as new clips not shown, will be deleted after 30 days ''

If every misfortune, some of their recorded clips go unnoticed, so no views, will be processed as unused clips and below removed, as these clips take up a lot of storage space.

This system will allow the Live service to create new space for our clips going to remove those that no one looks. To run for cover and preserve your clips, you will need to back up to OneDrive or download them via the app Xbox on PC.

Here is a brief guide on the various options available to save your best moments in time:


Xbox Live

Load the acquisitions from Xbox Live for OneDrive from your console.

  1. Press button to open the Xbox Dashboard , go to Transmit and acquire .
  2. Select recent acquisitions > Show all .
  3. Select the radio button list view on the right to view the acquisitions in the list.
  4. Check the box Select the captures that you wish to upload.
  5. Then select the box OneDrive charge to start the upload.

Download

  • Open the ' Xbox App on a PC.
  • Go to select > Clip on Xbox Live under Clip at the top.
  • Select the desired clip, scroll over the area devoted > Select Download.

External memory storage

  • Press the Xbox button to open the Panel , go to Settings .
  • Select Preferences > Beam and scan.
  • On Scan (right column), select capture Path > outside.

However, the acquisitions recorded on an external drive, cannot be uploaded to Xbox Live from your console. To load the clips on Xbox Live you have to follow the steps for loading from PC.
