Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Ubisoft reveals content post-launch plan

Ubisoft today announced the plan to post content-launch of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey , which will keep players engaged in the months following the launch of the title and that the developers claim to be the most ambitious so far for the series of Assassin's Creed.

The contents post-launch of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey will be divided into two groups: those included in the Season Pass, which will introduce two additional episodic stories and full and Assassin's Creed III Remastered , and those that will be released for free over time. Here are all the details.

The program live to Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is the most comprehensive and ambitious of the series and plans to give players an unprecedented amount of narrative content, thanks to the new episodic format used in two story arcs included in Season Pass. Players will embark in the new episodes as soon as they are published, or live the epic adventure in its entirety once they are all available. Access to this content will depend on the choices of the players.

The Season Pass of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey includes:

  • Legacy of the First Blade: this episodic adventure presents the first hero that has ever brandished the iconic hidden blade, changing the course of history. Players will learn new details about the origins of the murderers and why they decided to fight. Starting from December 2018, the episodes will be published approximately every six weeks.
  • The Fate of Atlantis: the second episodic series, players will face creatures of divine origin and discover the secrets of the legendary sunken city. In an astonishing saga full of twists and turns, will approach even closer to Greek mythology and the first civilization. Coming in the spring of 2019, the episodes will be published approximately every six weeks.
  • Assassin's Creed III Remastered: ignites the American Revolution as Connor, master assassin born by the brutal beauty of 18th century America. On the eve of a bloody revolution, your clan is threatened by a powerful group that seeks to crush the revolt and control the thirteen colonies. Spurred to action by the shock at the destruction of your village, you dedicate your life to fight for freedom and embark on a ten-year journey to get it. Assassin's Creed III will be published March 2019, and Remastered:
    • All DLC: Benedict Arnold, hidden secrets, The tyranny of King Washington.
    • Assassin's Creed ® Liberation Remastered.

The remasters will offer 4 k and HDR on PS4 â„¢ Pro, Xbox One X and PCs, high-res textures, a new graphics engine, and several other improvements to the Visual sector. The gameplay mechanics and ergonomics have also been revised. Assassin's Creed III Remastered will be sold as stand-alone title for players who do not own Assassin's Creed Odyssey Season Pass.

The Season Pass is included in Gold, Ultimate, Spartan and Pantheon in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or can be purchased separately.

In addition, a wide range of free content , both new parts in-game events, narratives that will be available for all players after launch:

  • The Lost Tales of Greece: new missions in installments will be released regularly between one episode to the next, and provide players with an endless stream of new stories to be discovered. In these missions will appear familiar faces in the world of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and new characters.
  • In-Game events: every week a new ship epic or a mercenary, powerful enemies that players won't be able to defeat without a battle. Daily and weekly contracts will provide new missions throughout Greece.
  • Discovery Tour : educational tool that allows anyone to explore the game in a conflict-free environment will be available for Assassin's Creed Odyssey. After the launch, players will be able to traverse the entire 3D reconstruction of ancient Greece without having to worry about enemies, time limits, or the needs of the gameplay.
  • Many other updates, including new mythical creatures and monstrous to challenge, and a New Game Plus mode that a major difficulty and a chance to see how different choices affect the stories of the players.

And that's not all: the Assassin's Creed Odyssey development team is committed to supporting the game and to keep improving the basic experience with additional content, which have not yet been announced.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey will be released on 5 October 2018. Buyers of Gold, Collectors and Ultimate editions will have access to the game three days earlier, on 2 October. We leave you now to a trailer, subtitled in Italian, which presents the content post-launch.
