Xbox One: Dolby Vision testing begins in the program Preview

Microsoft announced the start of testing, Alpha and Alpha-Skip Ahead in the Ring of Xbox One, a preview of the program features announced last month for the update of October: the Dolby Vision for content Multimedia, currently only with Netflix.

For those who don't know, Dolby Vision is a standard alternative to HDR10 which allows you to have a deeper color range and blacks and whites even sharper, for an "ultra bright"; support for this standard is not as widespread as the now ubiquitous HDR10, but who comes with Dolby Vision televisions with Xbox support should be able to notice significant differences compared to the other format.

If you are part of the ring Ring Alpha or Alpha-Skip Ahead of the program Preview and you have a TV equipped with this technology, after applying the last update you should find the voice TV settings to enable Dolby Vision and you can then test this out on Netflix (Premium subscription required) at one of the 400 show that support Dolby Vision, including Stranger Things , Altered Carbon , The Punisher and Lost in Space . For all others the update will come in October.
