Announced new products for Sea of Thieves next week: get Gunpowder Skeletons

Rare today updated Sea of Thieves with a minor update that in addition to the usual fixes and optimizations, re-introduced the Bivalves in the gaming world that appear now as random enemies like the Kraken; but the most important are those announced in relation to update next week, which will introduce the event Gunpowder Skeletons .

The new event, which will replace the current Skeleton Thrones , will as usual introduced by bilge Rats and we will carry out a series of missions against a new kind of enemy: the skeletons with gunpowder . This is a special type of skeleton that brings with it a barrel of gunpowder: Needless to say hit it incorrectly or too closely would result in unpleasant consequences. It seems a task to carry out armed with musket!

The event will bring with it a host of interesting new mechanics relating to barrels of gunpowder, currently in beta test at the Pioneers (former alpha testers of the game) and of which we prefer not to say anything because NDA linked to the Pioneer program.

In addition to this, the update will bring with it new cosmetic skeletal elements and, most important, a change in the management of reference letters bilge rats, introduced with the current Skeleton Thrones and that, purchased with Doubloons earned in missions, allow us to level up at the three companies in the game. These letters give us X amount of experience points, which are low-ranking players level up quickly, but they provide little advances to those at a high level. The new update operation of Letters will be edited and will go up 1 level to anyone, regardless of their current level. Needless to say it will prove so valuable at the highest levels, where to advance you need to engage a lot.

Latest news particularly appetising: Unlike Skeletal Thrones , the missions of Gunpowder Skeletons will be elargendoci several times each time new replayable Doubloons, allowing us to accumulate wealth. We don't know for now whether there will be some limit to this, but imagine if yes to avoid episodes of farming furious.

That's all for now: stay tuned for all the latest information on Sea of Thieves !
