Funcom today announced the development at the hands of the Swedish Bearded Ladies (including veterans of the Hitman series and Payday) of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden , a unique title to post apocalyptic setting that combines traditional turn-based strategy XCOM series with narrative elements, adventure and exploration: not surprisingly the developers call an " Adventure tactic ".

The game, coming before the end of this year, we will see control an unlikely team of mutants by the appearance of animals (in trailer of ad at the bottom of the news, we see a duck and a boar) while exploring a land devastated by nuclear war, crumbling and overrun by vegetation.

The game world will be freely accessible through a Visual from above but close to the characters, and in this mode you can choose to avoid or take by surprise enemies with stealth tactics; Once engaged in combat, switches to turn-based mode with mechanics similar to those in the XCOM series.
