Ubisoft today announced that the updated 1.8 "resistance" for The Division will be available for free download from tomorrow, December 5, on . At the launch of resistance, from 7 to 10 December will also be available a free weekend of The Division . In addition, the holders of the game will have free access to all expansions included in the Season Pass (Underground, Survival and Last Stand) from 5 to 10 December.

Here are all the details of the new update:

"Resistance" is the largest free update so far deployed for Tom Clancy's The Division and will expand the game map with a new area accessible to all players, West Side Pier. In addition to the many activities offered by the freely explorable across the map, West Side Pier will include two new game modes:

• Stamina (PvE) – In resistance, the different factions have decided for the first time to ally against the agents of the Division. Several NPC enemies will appear in a series of waves, while up to four agents should try to survive as long as possible. The enemies will release a series of resources that can be used to prepare the defenses or extend the battlefield, thus provide more tactical options to players, who must cooperate and find the best strategy for complete as many waves as possible and get the best rewards.
• Skirmish (PvP) – In skirmish, two teams of four players compete to get the highest number of kills before time runs out. Teams score points each time you deleted an enemy player.

Additionally, the update 1.8 "resistance" will include some improvements to the DLC Underground, a reorganization of the mechanics of betrayal, as well as an optimization of the system of equipment, which will allow players to improve the statistics of your favorite gear.

To celebrate the launch of update 1.8 "resistance", Tom Clancy's The Division will offer a week of free DLC as well as an entire free weekend.

Week of free DLC

From 5 to 10 December, all players of The Division will get free unlimited access to all three expansions included in the Season Pass of Tom Clancy's The Division: Underground, Survival and Last Stand. The free trial will be available across all platforms and accessible to players of the free weekend.

Free Weekend

From 7 to 10 December, the full version of the game will be available to all new users on any platform. The current offer for a free trial, that provides access to the full game up to the level 8 or the completion of a total of six hours of play, will be shut down over the weekend, but will restart at the end of the promotion. Players who downloaded the free trial before 7 December will see the limitations are suspended until the end of the weekend.

All the progress made during the free weekend will be transferred to the full game, if players decide to purchase it.
